The brief
Document a story everyone argues about and almost no one has actually mapped — the influx of illegal immigrants across the West Bengal border — and make it impossible to dismiss.
The approach
Six months. Every district of West Bengal. We shot the border areas on the ground, then did the unglamorous work first — a line-by-line fact-check before a single frame was cut. The result is a four-part series, natively produced in Bengali, finished with best-in-class motion graphics: the look of a Netflix documentary at 60–70% of the cost.
It looks like something you'd stop scrolling for. That was the whole point.
The win
Distributed on the BJP West Bengal channel, the series drew wide reach and critical acclaim from senior leadership. We won’t claim a film decides an election — but in a hard-fought campaign, work this credible earns its place in the conversation.
