The brand
Devam sells handcrafted Indian fine jewelry to clients in the United States — pieces its buyers treat as far more than adornment. The house needed its heritage to read as heritage to people who have never stood in the places it comes from.
The brief
The engagement began as a repositioning film, From the Lands Beyond: capture the aesthetics of India, the premium polish of the house, and the clientele it serves — without tipping into travelogue or catalogue. The premise of the house is that precious stones carry human vibration and energy, and that every piece must be made by jewelers who carry the tradition in their blood. The film had to carry that philosophy rather than describe it.
The approach
Research before scouting. Telling the story meant learning it first — deep research into the jewelry and saree industries, then scouting for the most genuine crafters working today. The film was shot across Jodhpur, Varanasi, Kanchipuram and Bikaner, mixing the landscape of India’s ancient cities with the constant, rhythmic beat of tradition still thriving in them. Weaving it together: a poem written exclusively for Devam.
The land is one, but the crafts vary — we bring from there handmade luxury.
The identity
The relationship widened. We reanimated the Devam logotype — fusing craft, precision and ethereal beauty into the existing mark, with a palette drawn from the brand identity designed by London’s Twin Dots. Then came We Are All Diamonds, a jewelry commercial, and The History of Sarees, a researched social film — one identity, carried across every piece.
The win
The brand film has been appreciated across Devam’s two main offices, in the United States and Belgium — and the single film became a body of work: a social campaign and further films on the craft behind Devam’s pieces followed.
