The school
Rajghat Besant School in Varanasi follows the philosophies of J. Krishnamurti — a thinker whose life’s mission was to set people unconditionally free. How do you advertise a place whose whole point is that it doesn’t sell?
The brief
The Foundation needed ad films for a social media promotion — but no hard advertising could be used. The answer was a set of three mindful films about how a child would feel at the school: one on its core values, one on hostel life, one on the academic philosophy. The films had to carry a philosophy, not a sales pitch — in feeling and texture, not just in words.
The approach
Storyboards built around the constraint. Filming ran three days while students sat an ongoing exam, so every shot was coordinated to the minute — rehearsed in empty classrooms, then captured quickly in place. Almost nothing staged: the films needed the genuine energy of students, because childish innocence disappears the moment a scene is obviously arranged. Shot in 4K RAW by an award-winning Mumbai crew, then graded vivid and deep for the warmth the campus actually has.
The win
Three films that are expressive, simple and timeless — built from what the school believes rather than what it offers. The philosophy had to come from within every storyboard, lighting design and grade, so the audience would feel it without being told.
